The Step Socks and Red & Blue Socks are finito:
Numbers 8 and 9, respectively for SOS 08. For those keeping track, no, I will not be finishing 15 pairs by September 1st which was my goal. Yes, I am a loser..... BTW, do you know how hard it is to photograph red? GAH.... (As a side note, everyone seems to be using "GAH" lately. I like it because it expresses the frustration level perfectly, don't you think? And yes, I shamelessly ripped it off from someone (not sure who) sorry, unknown brilliant person.)
Yesterday I received my care package from Zarzuela's Etsy shop. Follow that link to her blog and then her shop. Wonderful stuff. This is Toasted Banana Superwash Merino and Girls & Boys Merino, 4 oz. each.
Sassy seemed to like the packaging better than the product:
What does she know of fibery goodness?
Today is the first day of the Ravelympics. It starts at 8:00 p.m. Beijing time, which is 8:00 a.m. EST, my time in Ohio. I've been working on Team Ohio's Happy Socks for the Sock Put while typing this post (time-sucking void of dial up). And, since I have today off, cue the Olympic Music for Team Splurk's Handspun Heptathalon....
daaaa daaaa dada da da da... da da da da da da, da dada da da dummmmmm...
Let's Go TEAM!

Have fun spinning. I love your socks.
Let me know how you like the Happy Feet you posted about in the previous post I am curious about that yarn. I would love to see it knit up and have an opinion on it before I buy any.

Nine pairs? You are fast. I like the Step socks. The colors make me feel peaceful or something.
Enjoy your spinning.

Oooh, I like that banana fiber, it looks yummy.
Hope your Ravelympics stuff is coming along. Knitting during the opening ceremonies seemed like a good idea, but I was only able to do a few rows. Still, my vest is moving along.
