I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. I got close to finishing the last pair of socks, but not in enough time to give them for Christmas. I still have the toe to finish. Oh well, can't win them all, right? Plus, I wasn't giving it my total effort either. I wanted to enjoy Christmas without the stress, if that's possible. :) I did finish Pauley's beanie and scarf which he loved:
I'll show you the socks once they are gifted. Speaking of socks, the other "stealth" socks that I was able to finish went to my good friend Becky:
I used the leftover yarn from the Sun Periwinkle socks (which I gifted to my niece, Samantha), and a matching blue and red yarn (Palette from Knitpicks). Here's a close-up:
I spent a considerable amount of time yesterday with my sock basket and the Palette colors that I have matching up leftover sock yarn. Don't be surprised to see a lot of "stripey" socks coming up. I have to get at least two pairs of socks out of one skein of sock yarn to be satisfied.
In other news, I also spent time over the weekend working on Taupe Gable. I'm half-way through with the hood and should be finished soon. YAY! Pictures upcoming once I have it done.
If I don't blog before New Years, everyone be safe and have a wonderful New Years!!!

Nifty socks, if a bit blinding, hee hee! I never thought of combining my leftovers--I'm doing a sock blankie instead.
Dang, you've done a lot of knitting lately!

Well done on your work! I never knit a pair of socks before - seems a bit terrifying to finish one item and then repeat it all over again. I'm scared I will not have the attention span. then again, i've lots of left-overs and single skeins so maybe i should. Does wearing them affect your shoe size?
