Question: What can you make with 373 yards of fingering-to-sport weight yarn? That's right. A WHOLE pair of socks!!! Why does this excite me so? Because, people, for the first time in recorded history Ms. Create has spun 373 yards from 4 ounces of wool! That means I don't have to make a hat, or a cowl, or something small. I can make a PAIR of socks!!! Look at all this yarn:
Did I mention this was 373 yards? Okay - I might be a little giddy. GIve me a break. I've been on vacation all week with my yarn and Paul (who is NOT on vacation and who shows up occasionally for food -- which he makes himself)..... What? I'm on vacation. I made dinner yesterday. Seriously.
Superwash Merino in the Toasted Banana colorway from Zarzuela's Fibers on etsy. 373 yards..... Nanners anyone?
Here's the big question... Can I do it again with the Girls and Boys colorway? This is regular merino (not superwashed).
Ironically, I'm making a hat with this.... :)

That's so exciting! I've never spun that much, so I can definitely appreciate your enthusiasm! Good job, it looks wonderful!

Way to go! Did it take you long?

The fumes from handspun yarn must be even more potent than the fumes from regular yarn, which would account for the extra giddiness.
I think I remember that roving.
Keep an eye on that yarn. Samson is an ace retriever...although it would be a long walk to your house.

Wow! That is perfect for Nanners. I bought some yellow to make Nanners, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Aren't vacations wonderful?
