It's St. Patrick's Day, and I have nothing green to show you. Sorry! How about some nice marine heather?
This is my February Lady Sweater so far. I'm using KnitPicks Swish Worsted in the Marine Heather colorway. I knew I was going to have some issues with yardage on this. I had 10 balls at 110 yards each. The pattern called for 1150 yards, so I was 50 yards short to begin with. Plus, I'm doing the size Large but it's working out to be closer to an Extra Large (which is what I wanted... remember the gauge thing?). That's probably using up more yarn too. Decision time.... I have three balls left and can see that's not going to work. I also started a sleeve to see how much yarn it was going to take and unless I want short sleeves on this (which I don't), I need more yarn. I ordered three more balls and will wait to get them before continuing on. Hopefully the dye lot is not too far off. Cross your fingers.
In other news, the striped yellow and brown socks are done.
Yes... They go so well with my plaid pj pants.
AND - ALERT THE MEDIA..... Ms. Create is finally making a pair of toe-up socks.
I finally learned the Turkish Cast On using Fluffy Knitter Deb's Tutorial (very easy - I did it with dpns instead of cable needles!), and not to make it too easy on myself (why do I do this?), I'm doing a gusset and slip-stitch heel using Wendy Knit's Toe-Up Socks with Gusset and Slip-Stitch Heel pattern. Thanks to both of you wonderful women for the free tutorial and free pattern. You are awesome. I am at the point now where I am finished with the gusset increases and I'm looking to turn the heel next. It's like Chinese right now, but I'm thinking it through.... backwards. Apparently I'm not going to be picking up stitches on the heel flap, so I must be wrapping and turning with the first stitch of the instep...... hmmmmmm..... I think I'll stop and get a snack. That's Paton's Stretch Socks in the Sugar colorway. You'll be seeing lots of pink this month! No green today, however... oops. Dani gets no green beer today..... bad girl.

Your FLS is gorgeous! I'd knit one if I thought it would be flattering on me, but alas, it's not the case. I love the color you are using.

Pretty FLS. I haven't tried toe-up socks. Rather, I have tried toe-up socks and couldn't figure out the heel thing, so I frogged and went top down. Maybe I'll try again one of these days. Love the yarn.
