I'm still spinning up the Jacob fleece. I have 6,352 (okay... 19) skeins so far.
I'm not sure how many yards this is, but I think it's a LOT. :)
I plan on dyeing some of it a russet red. What do you think? OH, and after I finish the rest of it....
I have another two fleeces that are "medium" and "dark" browns. Not to mention the 10 new fleeces in bags down the basement. I'm actually thinking of (gasp) having some of it commercially spun. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE spinning, but I want to get to the knitting part too!!!
I also started spinning up Butter's fleece. He is a Border Leicester and one of my two rams.
I seem to be spending an awful lot of time picking out bits of hay in this fleece. UGH.
Then again, my sheep seem to love rolling around in the hay and I can't bring myself to stop them. Stop back to see the first skein of this one.
In other news . . . . I think I am experiencing my first ever knitting "jag" as the Yarn Harlot would say. And, I'm not even knitting!
Stay tuned...... All will be revealed in the fullness of time.

Wow, beautiful yarn, beautiful fiber, but you seem to be drowning in it! LOL
Seems to me that russet red would look terrific on this yarn.

I love the color of the Jacob fleece. I wouldn't dye all of it. And yes, that's a lot of yarn. If you run out of room, I could store some for you.
