I finished the first of the Nutkin socks last night. It was kind of strange doing the short-row toe. I felt like I was doing another heel. Plus, the three needle bind-off was definitely different to close up the toe. All-in-all, I liked the lace pattern immensely but would probably do a regular 2x2 ribbed cuff, a slip-stitch heel and a wedge toe if I was to make them again. Of course, I still need to make the second sock of this pair yet. SSS (second sock syndrome) is dragging me down totally!!!
They are a little tight to get on (listen to me acting like I have a pair already), and the leg is twisting a little. Hopefully it will block out.
Do you think I can get the second one done by Sunday? That is, and finish the Happy Socks (which are almost to the toe of the second sock):
Oh - and I might have some spinning to finish too...... Meet you at the finish line?
What we need are 4 hands. You are doing better than I am. I don't think I'm going to finish either of my Ravelympic projects. But when things settle down, I'm going to have to take another look at the Nutkin pattern. It's so cute.

Now, now, stop blogging and go cast on the second sock!
Don't you have dreams about being this hindu godess (don't know her name) the one with several sets of arms/hands? I know I do...

Looking good! You will make it. You may have to skip sleeping, but sometimes you have to sacrifice for your art!
