There has been progress..... The Baby Surprise Jacket is finished and adorned with the dark blue buttons. There were no votes for the poor little white buttons, so they were returned to the "white button jar" to be comforted by their friends. Also, after all the talk about which side to put the buttons on for a boy or a girl, I think I've managed to put them on the wrong side. Did I?
Again, I say.... the baby will not notice! :) I also made the bonnet in EZ's Opinionated Knitter, knit flat with the same concept as the BSJ:
Don't you just love those swirly decreases in the back? I opted for a tie instead of another button.
Now I'm onto the booties from EZ, same flat concept again (can you tell I am loving this book?). Here's the first one, almost done.
I just need to weave (or Kitchener) the bottom together, then stitch up the back only to the ankle. The rest stays open in the back for ease on the baby's feet. Does EZ think of everything, or what?!! This one also gets a tie from back to front. I'll show you the pair once I get them finished.
The Catherine Wheel Baby Blanket is coming along nice, about three-quarters done. It looks the same, so I'll spare you another picture until it's finished. Also, I've got out my pattern for baby bibs, and this:
I'll show you the pattern when I post again. It's a lovely bib!
I've found out that my friend, Nicole's, baby boy is due on October 22nd, and she will be naming him Zane Michael. I should have everything done by then, right? right? Is this baby going to be well represented by the Knitting Community, or what?
I wonder what Missy will be having? I'm kinda running short on blue.......
Ohhhhh! You and I think alike! Those decreases look great! Talk about a lucky baby!

You are a machine! Can you do a 3 needle bind off on the booties since the baby won't be walking in them anyway?
Looks like the bib colors will match the colored bit in the blanket?
