Twenty-two years ago this day my little bundle of joy was born. Happy Halloween and Birthday Pauley. Even though you are grown up now and over 6 feet tall, you will always be my little Sweet Pea! I know it's hard to stay out of trouble when you are 22, it's your birthday AND Halloween, but please think of Mom when you are out creating mischief today! And don't you dare egg Mom's house either! I can still and will tan your butt!
Last night I ventured outside to gather some black walnuts for Julie. Since we all know how much time I spend outside, I shouldn't have been surprised to see that the season is almost over for black walnuts and that most of the hulls have already decomposed off of the actual nuts. I was still able to fill up a nice bag of browney goodness, though.
I'll send these off to you today, Julie. Have fun and by all means, let me know if the color comes out good for you! :)
Last night I was possessed by the purple mohair. It wouldn't let me work on the Palindrome scarf, or even make some of the cute pumpkins I saw on Opal's blog. Some... yeah, who am I kidding. OMG - you have to check these out. They are adorable! I could see myself making hundreds of them. Like, a "gaggle" of pumpkins or whatever it's called..... I also wouldn't mind making a gigantic one, either. Truly.
Okay - back to the mohair. I started the Swallow Tail Shawl. It is lovely.....
See this? This was already ripped out once. I had to change the way I do my yarnovers. Usually when I have a yarnover, on the next row I am knitting it. These yarnovers are purled and my "dani" yarnover wasn't cutting it. I found another way of doing the yarnover where I get the hole that I want with no twisting. No worries.... first problem solved. Let's hope the next one is as easy. Yeah...we all know how that goes......... ;)
Everyone please say something nice to Palindrome, who sits in her basket quietly weeping for attention....
no-one is loving her right now...... (red is female, right?)
Seriously, Pauley, I'm not kidding! :P
Happy Birthday Pauley! Your Mom isn't kidding. Don't mess with her! Also, Hi Palindrome! And yes, red is female.

I was kind of hoping you wouldn't knit the purple mohair and I could imagine it for myself. It sure is beautiful.
I can't believe you have a child that age!
