Look what I got! This was given to me by Megan. When I first started reading her blog I thought, Wow, we are so much alike! She thinks the same as me! Is it possible to not have ever met someone in person and still have the same though processes? Apparently it is! Granted, we may not be alike, but don't burst our bubble because we're having too much fun with it right now! Thanks Megan for nominating me. You are my sister at heart.
The world of blogging is just amazing. I just started down this path in June, and I already have so many new cyber friends, not to mention my knitting is totally rocking right now! I believe and am looking forward to all of us getting together in the real world, too. There will be events and functions that I will travel to in order to do this. I just know it. It is going to be a RIOT and there will be lifelong friendships made. If not for the internet, how would you otherwise meet these people that love the same things that you do and frankly, just "get" you? I don't know. I'm just glad I don't have to figure that out.
I also want to give a big shout out to Ravelry and Plurk. These knitting, crocheting and chat communities have done the lion's share of bringing us all together. If you are not on these sites, get you there immediately!! Your fun will increase three-fold!
Okay - Megan says I need to nominate four other people for their blogs. This is hard to do because there are a lot of blogs that I read and enjoy immensely. I'm going to do what Megan did (again, same thought processes) and nominate people that I think should get more recognition. They have great blogs and you would absolutely love reading them. Let's start, shall we? (no order here, just alphabetical to help me...)
1. Traveling Ann. I love reading Ann's blog because she is always doing something new. She may be designing a sock, telling you about her trip to Las Vegas (LOVE the Klingon adventure!), or taking hikes with her hubby and two pups, Baru and Samson. Check her out, you won't be disappointed!
2. Merit Writer. This is Yvonne. She is lovely. Right now she is finishing up Hey Teach and working on various other knitting projects that are great works of art. I think she is going to start on Wicked pretty soon, too (subliminal message here....ha ha). OH - and she has the most wonderful recipes and shares! Get you there!
3. Melon Head. I just started reading Carmen's blog a couple of weeks ago and am amazed. This woman is a machine! Of course, she makes her living off of knitting different assorted things for craft shows, but man - she moves! Check out her felted hats, gorgeous. OH - and she is totally funny too! You go see for yourself!
4. Yarn on the Side. Last but not least is Toni. I've been reading her blog for a long time. She is in the middle of a WIP marathon right now and is finishing up projects left and right. Also, she is a lace queen. You need to check out some of her finished shawls. Heirlooms. Beautiful. Plus, her trusty cat Theo helps her with all of her knitting projects, especially the blocking part. He is a ham for sure! When you visit, say hello to Theo for me! Also, there is the elusive Calisto who is rarely photographed....
Here are the rules for "acceptance" of your blog award, girls. Again, thanks for bringing such joy and laughter to my life! 'Nuthin but love for ya!
1. Please put the award on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3. You must nominate at least 4 fellow bloggers for this award.
4. Add links to the recipients.
5. Leave a comment so the recipients know they have received an award.
Okay - tootles, it's Sunday and I must get some breakfast going on....... :)
Hey there. I have been blogging off and on for the last 2 years. Blogs are wonderful. If not for blogging I would not be knitting or spinning or even realize all the wonderful yarn/fiber places out there. And you are right. You meet a world of very talented people who share you love for your hobby! You have a great blog here!

That is too cool Dani! You go girl, blog your little heart out. One of these days I will blog about my INSANE life. I do mean insane. I don't even have time to pee, let alone knit. Although it only took me 2 years to crochet olivias yellow blanket. LOL!
