Look what I received from my wonderful friend Lisa!
She was giving it away on her blog and I was the lucky recipient!! This book is chock full of wonderful designs. Scarves, cowls, stoles and shawls. Texture, colorwork and lace! This fair isle scarf really caught my eye:
You know you love a pattern when you are visualizing what colors you will use from your stash to make it. Know what I mean? I'm sure you'll be seeing this in my "queue" really soon. Thanks again Lisa! Lovely book.
Okay - we're going to talk about cross-stitch again. Here I was putting my new book away, and what did I notice on my (there's not any room left) shelf? Lookie:
I obviously love this book since I seem to have purchased two of them! Here's a better look at it:
Inside?
Don't you just love that ladybug? Why, you ask, am I showing you this book in detail? Well, because I'm going to give it to one of you!!! Lisa gave me a book, now I'll give you a book! Just leave a comment (and let me know if you don't want the book too) and I'll pick a winner by "random number generator". What the heck is that anyway? :) Leave a comment before Sunday, November 30th. I'll announce the winner on December 1st. Good luck!!!
I'll leave you with the status of my zebras I am doing from Jane Netley Mayhew's book:
Yep - may never finish it... but there you go.
OH - I have knitting to show, but not today - boo hoo. Happy Thanksgiving Tomorrow!! Enjoy!
I did not know about the scarf book! I would love that.

Wow, cross stitch--was knitting going along too speedily for you? I do have a cross-stitch project that I started about 2 years ago & I do work on it once in a while--and will probably finish it in about 10 years. Come to think of it, I have a knitted lace project that's doing along at about that speed. Size 0 needles--what was I thinking?????

I would love to have your extra cross stitch book! Most of the cross stitch I have done has been kits, mostly Charles Wysocki kits.
The book you won is really neat too. I haven't tried any color work like fair isle, but I think I would like to. Maybe I should start with mittens? a scarf?
