Famous last words... The girl is on fire. The girl is in pain now. Repetitive movement pain to be exact. Oh well. Back to work tomorrow and I'll add more "movements" to my schedule. Like.. get up from my chair. Sit down in my chair. etc. Except, being away for two weeks I'm sure I'll be moving a little faster than usual. Brain, if you are listening to me, tomorrow begins your world of hurt. You can catch up with the rest of my body. HA.
Moving on.... Here's Wingspan all blocked and in the sun.
I pulled those points in the middle of each wedge down to make it pointier.
and here's the backside of those joins.
Since I used sock yarn and size 3 needles, it's more of a scarf than a shawlette. Great easy pattern. I'm thinking of doing it again in worsted weight and bigger needles. I even have a very nice shawl pin that I bought yesterday at that new yarn store, Wisp. I bought that and 7 skeins of very lovely baby alpaca in a light blue. I would take a picture of them, but then I would have to get up (see first paragraph). I was in a hurry since Paul was in the car, so I think I did good with the time allotted to me. More like a dash-and-grab. Don't judge me. Just know that it was gorgeous and felt so soft. You would have bought it too.
Here's the new tee I started.
It's the Summer Sweetheart Pullover, #12 in Knit-n-Style, August, 2010. I'm using Spa from Caron. It's 75% Microdenier Acrylic and 25% Bamboo. I'm guessing that the "microdenier" would mean splity, if I let it. So far I'm keeping all the threads together and having fun. We'll see if that continues.
I'll also be finishing that weaving project today. If I don't free up the kitchen table, there could be issues. Men.....
I've surfed the net more than three hours today, and your blog was the coolest of all. Thanks a lot, it is really useful to me
